Nandy Ekles

I wear many hats:  Wife, mother, Nana, Christian, Secretary, writer and friend.  I have been writing since I was in junior high where I won an award for Ready Writing in UIL.  I've always had a knack for words and for finding interesting stories in mundane things.  After a hiatus while raising a family, my "pen and paper" continued to call for me until I returned to my passion.

I love to make up stories, and they usually contain a twist that surprises even me as I write them.  I once described my creative cycle like this:  "I write the first line of the story, and my beautiful monster opens its eyes and begins to dictate its story to me."

I am published in other countries as well as in the United States.  One of my stories has been printed in a horror anthology and is available on lulu.com.  And one of my stories can be found free of charge on arkhamtales.com  Issue #3.  I am also an active member of Panhandle Professional Writers Club where I serve as the membership chairman.  I can be found on Facebook and WEbook.
